What comes to mind when you hear the word “disciple”?
You might think of biblical figures like Peter, John, Matthew — and even Judas. Or perhaps the word brings up ideas like worshiper, follower, witness, or servant. If we were to describe a disciple's character, we could begin listing all the fruits of the Spirit — and then some.
But what does it truly mean to be a disciple of Jesus?
What must we do? What assurance do we have that we are His disciples? And maybe more importantly — once you become a disciple, then what?
