    • ‘Have you ever felt desperate and hopeless? Have you ever felt so disappointed in what’s going on around you? Have you ever asked, “Where are you, God?”

You are not alone. Even though we have a church on every corner, it seems like God is not there for us. Many things could contribute to this, but we believe it is that we are looking in the wrong places to find Him. Also, many people fail to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, which leads to a lack of true love being shared among believers.

We aim to encourage and empower the love you have inside by helping you create a safe environment to receive and share that love. Through that, we will learn who Jesus truly is and have hope in Christ.

Let us show you how to get started.

    • The “I am precious to Jesus” campaign began with a simple yet life-changing truth:

      You are precious to Jesus.

This grassroots movement was launched in 2011 with a desire to share that comforting truth with children who are suffering and marginalized. Since then, we have been able to reach countless people, touching hearts and offering comfort. True faith in Jesus begins when we discover who we are in Christ. We believe this message is for anyone who longs to experience Jesus and His love.

To continue this mission, the Vuku Family was established. Our core purpose is to help you truly know and feel that you are precious to Jesus.

Throughout our journey, we have encountered many people burdened by pain, simply because the way others see them does not reflect how they see themselves. In other words, many of us do not feel precious in our own lives. But our worth in Christ far surpasses anything we think we deserve.

So what does it really mean to be precious to Jesus?

That’s why we’re inviting you to begin the journey with Vuku. The workbook is designed to open our hearts to one another and build small communities that, before now, may have seemed impossible. And within those communities, we discover that we are part of something even greater—a family of those who love Jesus.

Through this journey, we will experience the very love of Christ.
We want you to be loved and to one day boldly say,
      “I’m precious to Jesus!”

    • Thembisa Hans from Nomzamo, South Africa

She was one of the early Vuku members. At that time, we didn’t have much structure, but there was a powerful sense of love and connection. Her testimony clearly shows the impact it has had on all of us.

    • Vuku Meetings.jpeg
    • Vuku Family meetings are conducted using the Vuku Family Workbook, which was written at the end of 2019 by Jung and Helen. The book is based on their past experiences and research. In 2021, they also published a Meeting Guide for leaders. Both the Workbook and Leader’s Guide are included in the online courses.

Vuku Family meetings consist of 30 sessions and 6 outings. They are held once a week with a leader and two members. Over the course of about one year, the group works through the workbook content across 36 weeks.

Each meeting includes a Bible study and practical activities. The true value lies in the sincere sharing among members, a practical understanding of Jesus in real-life situations, and the exploration of Jesus’ character through His love. The first 15 meetings focus on personal spiritual growth, while the final 15 focus on serving and loving others—encouraging members to form their own groups, following a multiplication model introduced at the end of the workbook.

      How Vuku Meetings Run

      • Frequency: Once or twice per week
      • Duration: 1 to 2 hours
      • Recommended Group Size: 3 to 4 people
    • Of course you can.

But unless you’re a scholar or a minister doing research on why the Vuku Family is so meaningful and inspiring, we truly hope you’ll find someone to walk alongside you.

The workbook is designed to be explored deeply with someone you come to trust in Christ. It’s meant for spiritual growth together. Because of that, many of the teachings and principles are layered and woven throughout the workbook and the Leader’s Guide.

Those who have only skimmed through the workbook on their own have often missed the depth of Jesus’ love that the Vuku Family aims to reveal.

However, if you don’t see yourself finding someone to walk with just yet, that’s okay. We’ll do our best to help you experience as much as possible. And remember — there are many Vuku leaders and members around the world who would love to connect with you and journey with you as a mentor.

After all, that’s what we do:
We experience the love of Jesus together.
